PHR® I SPHR® Team Certification

The PHR demonstrates your mastery of the technical and operational aspects of HR management, including U.S. laws and regulations. The PHR is for the HR professional who has experience with program implementation, has a tactical/logistical orientation, is accountable to another HR professional within the organization, and has responsibilities that focus on the HR department rather than the whole organization.

The SPHR demonstrates your mastery of the strategic and policy-making aspects of HR management as practiced in the U.S. The credential is designed for big-picture thinkers responsible for planning rather than implementing HR policy. Organizations seek senior professionals for their proven accountability for HR department goals, for breadth and depth of knowledge in all HR disciplines, and for understanding business issues beyond the HR function.

SHRM-CP I SHRM-SCP 

Transform your career with the SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP. Whether you're just starting out or looking to deepen your expertise, SHRM offers a certification that's right for you.

Choose between SHRM-CP, tailored for HR professionals in operational roles, and SHRM-SCP, designed for those in strategic senior-level positions.

Each prep course includes a structured learning experience with a SHRM-certified instructor and both the online and print versions of the SHRM Certification Prep System—the official certification prep tool, now updated with retired exam questions. The interactive learning system combines in-depth HR knowledge with real-life situations to help you master the material and set you up for success on your exam.

The SHRM-CP is for individuals performing HR or HR-related duties or pursuing a career in Human Resources (basic working knowledge in HR is recommended). Your current or most recent work in HR is operational in nature (i.e., implementing policies, serving as the HR point of contact for staff, or performing day-to-day HR functions).

The SHRM-SCP is for individuals with a work history of at least three years performing strategic level HR or HR-related duties; or for SHRM-CP credential holders who have held the credential for at least three years and are working in, or are in the process of transitioning to, a strategic level role. Your current or most recent work in HR is strategic in nature (i.e., develop HR policies, execute all integrated HR operations, direct the entire HR enterprise, or lead the alignment of HR strategies to organizational goals).

Course content reflects the SHRM Body of Applied Skills and Knowledge (BASK). This course of study will in no way guarantee or assure success on the SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP exam. 

Class Size - Team certification is designed for groups of five or more.
